The dome stayed open until nearly midnight, but the observers were getting nothing at all for several hours. Then radar moved into the area, and I closed for a while. While the dome was closed, I was able to do some testing with APOLLO to answer a longstanding question. Then the radar and clouds left the area so we could open for some comet observations, including how the new guide software dealt with nonsidereal tracking. So, despite losing several hours to weather, it was a somewhat productive night. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 04:32 dcamera 535( 305) 161 60 1.0 2.3 2.8 2.4 1.3 - 1.47 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 44 18 23 268 (W) 2950 ptly cldy none 17:00 47 20 30 237 (WSW) 2096 ptly cldy none 18:00 45 20 24 259 (W) 5033 mstly clr none 19:00 42 18 31 260 (W) 2116 mstly clr none 20:00 40 18 19 259 (W) 2145 ptly cldy none 21:00 39 18 15 275 (W) 2052 mstly cldy none 22:00 39 19 17 269 (W) 1949 cloudy none 23:00 39 19 20 280 (W) 1785 cloudy none 00:00 38 19 16 270 (W) 1676 cloudy none 01:00 38 19 10 265 (W) 1762 cloudy none 02:00 37 19 18 270 (W) 1864 cloudy none 03:00 36 22 15 254 (WSW) 2011 mstly cldy none 04:00 35 23 15 265 (W) 2301 ptly cldy none 05:00 33 21 19 274 (W) 2195 mstly clr none 06:00 31 20 23 284 (WNW) 2447 ptly cldy none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
