We were finally able to open just after 3am. During that time I redid the DIS slitmasks and took some documentation data for the B1000 grating. In the afternoon, and through the night, the telescope and enclosure window were working properly. When we had issues with wind and dust, and while I was taking test data, all buttons functioned normally. When I tried to open after the weather cleared, I got an "AxePos" error when trying to open the mirror covers. I checked that the telescope and dome had not collided, and resetting the mirror covers did not work. Truss lamps, fans, louvers and eyelids all worked. I tried hub startNubs tcc, and tried ssh-ing into tcc and hub35m, which came back alive. Hub startNubs did not work. Called Russet, who restarted the tcc. It appears to have shut down for no visible reason at around 23:30 local time. After the restart, we were able to run the telescope, but not the mirror covers OR the eyelids. All other systems were behaving properly. So we ran with the mirrors in manual mode. Russet submitted a PR, and I have logged 20 minutes lost to this problem. I left the mirror covers in MANUAL mode. The time we were open, seeing was decent and there were no other problems. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 03:49 ecamera 491( -812) 73 45 0.4 1.5 2.6 1.1 0.2 ND2 1.26 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 45 13 21 261 (W) 587 cloudy none 17:00 46 13 16 262 (W) 770 cloudy none 18:00 43 12 24 234 (SW) 813 cloudy none 19:00 42 12 18 242 (WSW) 780 cloudy none 20:00 42 11 24 260 (W) 3130 cloudy none 21:00 41 10 29 253 (WSW) 3193 mstly cldy dust 22:00 40 9 28 267 (W) 3344 ptly cldy dust 23:00 39 9 25 265 (W) 11610 mstly cldy dust 00:00 37 12 22 267 (W) 17157 ptly cldy dust 01:00 37 12 20 285 (WNW) 31759 mstly clr dust 02:00 35 10 17 298 (WNW) 13284 clear dust 03:00 34 5 19 316 (NW) 1490 clear none 04:00 32 6 22 304 (NW) 1317 clear none 05:00 31 7 15 30 (NNE) 1524 clear none 06:00 30 5 27 1 (N) 1553 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
