When APOLLO was supposed to start, the wind was strong from an azimuth too near the moon, so I let the previous observer keep going for a while until the moon moved further away and the wind dropped; despite the shortened period, APOLLO was actually successful. During second half, there were some more high winds and the observer had no alternate targets further out of the wind, so I closed the dome for a little while. Aside from the wind and challenges of guiding in high seeing, everything went very well. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 17:55 dcamera 376( 83) 162 81 0.8 1.2 1.1 0.9 0.3 - 1.80 00:27 ecamera 339(-1063) 44 52 0.1 -0.3 0.1 -0.1 -0.2 ND3 1.63 02:40 ecamera 384(-1047) -15 68 -0.3 -0.7 -0.3 -0.5 -0.5 Clear 1.88 Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
