I felt it prudent to close the telescope as they seemed low hanging. Snow started falling around 23:30. About 3/4 of an inch of heavy wet snow about 2 hrs later on the ground when all was done. I ran the snow program and called it a night for the 2nd half observers, as this snow wasn't coming off the enclosure tonight. Filled instruments at 03:15, turned off snow program, and parked the telescope facing south to remove snow on the enclosure during the daytime. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 17:21 ecamera 555( -550) -105 48 3.9 5.4 5.0 5.5 4.1 ND3 1.46 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 41 30 24 206 (SSW) 602 ptly cldy none 17:00 40 25 29 200 (SSW) 524 ptly cldy none 18:00 39 30 16 182 (S) 597 cloudy none 19:00 40 29 25 201 (SSW) 648 cloudy none 20:00 39 29 27 211 (SSW) 948 cloudy none 21:00 36 28 18 250 (WSW) 1107 cloudy none 22:00 34 27 28 218 (SW) 827 cloudy none 23:00 31 28 25 245 (WSW) 700 cloudy snow 00:00 26 26 29 251 (WSW) 2946 cloudy snow 01:00 23 22 13 254 (WSW) 105 mstly clr humid 02:00 22 20 23 291 (WNW) 144 mstly clr humid 03:00 20 18 27 290 (WNW) 75 mstly clr humid Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
