Humidity and clouds cleared up just as B-half program started. Jack logged in for engineering shortly after opening, and over the night, the ARCSAT dome status reverted from "open" to "closed" on the weather page, without the dome actually being closed. The humidity was rising, but the 3.5-m was still open at the time. Jack closed just after as conditions were worsening. No problems the rest of the night. ***Edit by J.Dembicky - ARCSAT shutter/dome actually closed unexplained by itself. Since the humidity was rising I did not immediately re-open ARCSAT. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 01:28 NICFPS 643( 1255) 35 54 6.4 8.8 10.8 8.2 85.0 MK-Ks 1.92 02:26 NICFPS 728( 1280) 11 58 6.1 7.7 9.8 6.9 85.0 MK-Ks 2.02 05:09 NICFPS 679( 1175) 45 45 5.7 6.3 9.2 5.8 85.0 MK-Ks 1.73 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 53 42 12 264 (W) 177 ptly cldy none 17:00 53 43 9 258 (WSW) 206 mstly cldy rain 18:00 47 40 6 82 (E) 223 mstly cldy lt rain 19:00 46 42 6 357 (N) 302 mstly clr humid 20:00 43 40 11 74 (ENE) 293 mstly cldy humid 21:00 47 40 5 322 (NW) 199 mstly cldy none 22:00 45 42 2 203 (SSW) 331 cloudy humid 23:00 45 40 6 335 (NNW) 292 cloudy humid 00:00 44 41 6 350 (N) 272 ptly cldy humid 01:00 44 37 7 289 (WNW) 235 mstly clr none 02:00 43 36 6 347 (NNW) 240 clear none 03:00 42 38 8 335 (NNW) 145 clear none 04:00 42 38 10 333 (NNW) 245 clear humid 05:00 41 36 11 338 (NNW) 217 mstly clr none 06:00 42 37 8 337 (NNW) 348 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
