The seeing was variable, sometimes approaching 3". Had two potential issues with the DIS guider. While running the focus loop, the guider thought the star was where there was no star (around image 312). It was definitely trying to measure that empty space, because the measurements were nonsense. Later, at 05:20 we noticed that the guider had shut itself off for no reason and with no warning. It was definitely running before, and there were no sounds for it turning off. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 18:02 ecamera 739( -624) 243 67 -0.8 0.7 0.6 0.3 -0.6 ND2 0.80 21:17 ecamera 785( -625) 156 40 -0.2 -0.8 -0.4 -0.7 -0.5 Clear 2.20 00:45 dcamera 614( 198) 326 79 -0.4 -1.2 -0.9 -1.2 -0.9 -- 1.80 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 32 1 5 281 (W) 405 clear none 17:00 31 1 7 357 (N) 405 clear none 18:00 31 0 11 331 (NNW) 405 clear none 19:00 31 2 9 309 (NW) 405 clear none 20:00 30 6 5 309 (NW) 405 clear none 21:00 32 5 14 297 (WNW) 405 clear none 22:00 31 6 14 312 (NW) 405 clear none 23:00 31 10 12 299 (WNW) 405 clear none 00:00 31 9 16 304 (NW) 405 clear none 01:00 31 9 17 297 (WNW) 405 clear none 02:00 31 8 9 297 (WNW) 405 clear none 03:00 31 6 9 345 (NNW) 405 clear none 04:00 30 3 7 331 (NNW) 405 clear none 05:00 31 0 9 18 (NNE) 405 mstly clr none 06:00 30 -3 3 346 (NNW) 405 mstly clr none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
