During first half we did some more testing of the new guide software, but switched back to the old software for the more demanding second-half program. Because of the clear skies, the first observer got through his target list sooner than expected. I found another program that was able to make use of 1 hour at short notice and still let me continue the guider testing. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 18:03 ecamera 515( -710) 78 48 0.7 3.0 2.2 1.9 0.6 ND5 1.23 21:29 ecamera 665( -742) -45 73 0.4 -0.1 0.3 -0.5 -0.2 ND1 1.00 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 37 8 1 219 (SW) 405 clear none 17:00 37 12 5 278 (W) 405 clear none 18:00 33 10 2 251 (WSW) 405 clear none 19:00 33 11 2 247 (WSW) 405 clear none 20:00 32 10 7 313 (NW) 405 clear none 21:00 32 11 6 287 (WNW) 405 clear none 22:00 32 11 7 325 (NW) 405 clear none 23:00 31 11 8 267 (W) 405 clear none 00:00 30 11 10 299 (WNW) 405 clear none 01:00 30 12 10 284 (WNW) 405 clear none 02:00 29 12 6 302 (WNW) 405 clear none 03:00 27 12 5 333 (NNW) 405 clear none 04:00 28 12 6 263 (W) 405 mstly clr none 05:00 28 12 4 254 (WSW) 405 mstly clr none 06:00 27 13 3 209 (SSW) 405 mstly clr none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
