They looked fine although the instrument wasn't dis-mounted today but it was un-mounted last night for a brief period. We had two instances of the TSPEC dither script just stopping tonight during a sequence. Once at the end of 3 of 4 exposures, and a second time at the end of 2 of 4. There may have been a problem with their connection, they had to re-log into TUI when this occured. TSPEC didn't like keeping the guidestar when it moved back to the A position after a nod with a few faint stars tonight. Using a brighter star helped but several times we only had faint ones to guide with. The rotator didn't look far off from the tape marks this morning when I took the instrument off. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 19:42 TSPEC 574( 1379) 30 49 15.3 18.3 17.8 18.4 15.9 Ks 1.20 22:38 TSPEC 574( 1133) 20 56 14.0 13.7 14.2 13.5 13.4 Ks 1.20 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 66 32 2 18 (NNE) mstly clr none 17:00 65 36 1 120 (ESE) mstly clr none 18:00 64 35 7 137 (SE) mstly clr none 19:00 61 38 14 78 (ENE) mstly clr none 20:00 59 37 10 89 (E) ptly cldy none 21:00 57 40 11 112 (ESE) mstly clr none 22:00 57 38 16 86 (E) clear none 23:00 57 34 16 86 (E) clear none 00:00 57 37 12 85 (E) clear none 01:00 57 37 12 88 (E) clear none 02:00 56 39 9 97 (E) clear none 03:00 55 40 14 111 (ESE) clear none 04:00 55 42 14 112 (ESE) clear none 05:00 54 43 13 121 (ESE) clear none 06:00 53 45 10 90 (E) clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
