This delayed DIS cals until almost the end of twilight. I chalked the time up to equipment loss as it was eventually discovered as an equipment problem that needed to be fixed. Rest of the night was clear but we had poor seeing, winds out of the east. The seeing improved later in the 2nd half. DIS left mounted as Carol was taking cals at the end of the night. I didn't move GIFS back in its park position as I wasn't sure if they were going to want it mounted during the daytime or not. I will move it back in the afternoon. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 20:48 dis-slit 361( 827) -6 40 14.2 15.4 15.7 15.2 14.0 -- 1.21 01:51 GIFS 511( 937) -9 52 12.2 12.0 12.5 12.0 11.9 red 2.10 02:00 GIFS 511( 936) -12 51 12.3 12.0 12.5 12.0 12.0 R 2.80 02:41 dis-slit 511( 783) -28 49 12.5 11.8 12.3 11.9 11.9 -- 2.86 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 65 42 8 61 (ENE) mstly clr none 17:00 65 42 5 103 (ESE) mstly clr none 18:00 64 41 5 82 (E) mstly clr none 19:00 61 42 13 70 (ENE) mstly clr none 20:00 58 40 19 78 (ENE) mstly clr none 21:00 57 42 20 85 (E) clear none 22:00 56 43 19 83 (E) clear none 23:00 56 42 23 82 (E) clear none 00:00 55 42 18 81 (E) clear none 01:00 54 42 15 80 (E) clear none 02:00 54 41 16 100 (E) clear none 03:00 54 41 15 113 (ESE) clear none 04:00 53 43 15 113 (ESE) clear none 05:00 53 43 14 111 (ESE) clear none 06:00 53 42 10 88 (E) clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
