We remained open until midnight, when I decided the dark, ominous clouds were scary enough to close. Clouds did not thin out enough for observations until 03:30, when we opened and pushed through the remaining clouds with echelle. Weather held out for the remainder of the night. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 20:11 dis-slit 491( 826) -61 36 11.9 12.7 12.9 12.5 11.7 -- 1.76 03:55 ECHELLE 624( -231) 122 66 10.2 10.7 11.0 10.8 9.9 ND2 1.45 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 59 45 17 211 (SSW) clear none 17:00 57 42 11 183 (S) clear none 18:00 55 43 23 159 (SSE) clear none 19:00 54 41 7 186 (S) clear none 20:00 53 40 19 173 (S) clear none 21:00 54 41 18 180 (S) mstly cldy none 22:00 54 42 21 196 (SSW) cloudy none 23:00 54 42 23 209 (SSW) cloudy none 00:00 53 43 21 213 (SSW) cloudy none 01:00 52 43 30 229 (SW) cloudy none 02:00 51 45 18 259 (W) cloudy none 03:00 51 44 16 271 (W) ptly cldy none 04:00 50 44 14 281 (W) ptly cldy none 05:00 49 42 16 292 (WNW) ptly cldy none 06:00 49 37 14 268 (W) mstly clr none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
