I noticed that the agile rotator was now pinned. I don't know if anybody fixed the rotator during the daytime, but it was at too high an altitude for me to unpin when the telescope was parked. I left it alone. I did check out that agile was working after the hub restart earlier today. We started with a large pointing model concentrating on stars >75 alt for Fritz. Clouds made it a challenge. While tracking BD28 (upward 65+ deg alt, holding current 5A) I did the guider focus vs rotation test for Bill. Results sent to Bill Telescope tracked fine holding at ~5A alt current. I really didn't see it fluctuate much at all from 63-81 deg. Russet checked astigmatism tonight at APOLLO, still present but not as bad tonight. Throughput measurements with DIS to end the night. (Some very thin low in the west, not photometric for PG1708, second set of BD28 had thin cirrus nearby) Truss lamps were again working via TUI again, but don't click the buttons too fast or TUI gets confused and shows lamps still checked when they are off. This is a new bug (feature?)? A tlamps status will correct the display, if the TUI widget doesn't seem up-to-date. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 20:34 GUIDER 583( 1415) 32 53 17.2 20.0 19.1 19.9 17.7 R 1.00 23:16 GUIDER 447( 1050) 87 68 15.5 15.7 16.0 15.4 14.8 R 0.82 02:05 dis-slit 564( 1009) 215 29 15.6 14.6 15.0 14.5 14.7 -- 1.48 02:08 NA2gdr -4923(25076) 214 29 15.6 14.6 15.0 14.5 14.8 clear 1.19 02:25 dis-slit 502( 900) 275 70 15.5 14.7 15.1 14.7 15.1 -- 1.16 02:29 NA2gdr -5628(24371) 275 70 15.5 14.7 15.1 14.8 15.2 clear 0.81 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 74 49 17 215 (SW) ptly cldy none 17:00 73 47 10 190 (S) ptly cldy none 18:00 70 42 13 185 (S) ptly cldy none 19:00 69 47 18 236 (SW) mstly cldy none 20:00 65 46 17 224 (SW) ptly cldy none 21:00 64 46 15 236 (SW) mstly cldy none 22:00 63 46 12 242 (WSW) ptly cldy none 23:00 62 47 12 266 (W) ptly cldy none 00:00 59 47 9 329 (NNW) mstly clr none 01:00 59 46 10 316 (NW) mstly clr none 02:00 59 46 9 290 (WNW) mstly clr none 03:00 60 44 4 265 (W) mstly clr none 04:00 60 44 6 267 (W) mstly clr none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
