Eventually the rain and clouds cleared off enough for a few exposures at the end of second half. Seeing was 0.9 arcsec but I didn't get the focus data saved properly. During the middle portion of the night, I was able to get a set of DIS linearity tests up to saturation on the blue side, so hopefully we can cross that task off our list. SPIcam was having a problem with elevated dark current at the beginning of the night, but it was pretty much resolved by morning. The change was more than either temperature or ion pump pressure can explain, so it's unclear if this will be a recurring problem. We will see how it looks tomorrow and make plans for the following week based on that performance. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 62 42 8 96 (E) ptly cldy none 17:00 63 41 11 114 (ESE) ptly cldy none 18:00 68 43 5 139 (SE) ptly cldy none 19:00 68 43 3 233 (SW) ptly cldy none 20:00 66 39 4 188 (S) ptly cldy none 21:00 60 41 12 89 (E) mstly cldy none 22:00 63 37 11 90 (E) cloudy none 23:00 57 43 42 71 (ENE) cloudy lt rain 00:00 54 44 24 74 (ENE) cloudy lt rain 01:00 59 41 3 223 (SW) cloudy lt rain 02:00 58 41 5 289 (WNW) mstly cldy none 03:00 60 40 6 190 (S) ptly cldy none 04:00 59 39 4 263 (W) mstly clr none 05:00 60 38 7 339 (NNW) ptly cldy none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
