Called Fritz, and then found the small connector under the rotator (with the pink string) was disconnected. All was well after that. Allison then took her cals during twilight, and we opened after. Radar returns hovered nearby for the first half of the night, although the cloudcam never looked threatening. So we stayed open. Eventually heavy clouds did roll in, and closed us. We had about 20 minutes of heavy rain, and then we were left with clear skies and high humidity for the rest of the night. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 19:31 TSPEC 592( 1384) 70 53 16.5 18.2 17.4 18.2 16.5 -- 1.36 22:06 TSPEC 581( 1254) 130 75 16.5 16.2 16.3 15.9 16.2 -- 0.92 00:15 ECHELLE 609( -21) 237 72 14.8 15.1 15.5 15.0 14.7 Clear 0.67 03:50 ECHELLE 584( -61) 239 32 14.6 13.9 14.7 13.9 13.8 Clear 1.03 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 65 51 1 261 (W) ptly cldy none 17:00 65 50 4 188 (S) ptly cldy lt rain 18:00 63 49 5 90 (E) mstly clr none 19:00 62 50 6 89 (E) mstly clr none 20:00 60 49 8 82 (E) mstly clr none 21:00 61 48 2 90 (E) clear none 22:00 62 48 2 82 (E) mstly clr none 23:00 61 47 7 85 (E) clear none 00:00 61 45 7 86 (E) mstly clr none 01:00 59 46 9 111 (ESE) mstly cldy none 02:00 58 48 10 86 (E) cloudy none 03:00 58 50 15 80 (E) cloudy rain 04:00 56 48 11 72 (ENE) clear humid 05:00 61 44 2 271 (W) mstly clr humid 06:00 57 48 2 110 (ESE) mstly clr humid Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
