See PR. Also, the instchecks script did not run for TSpec. It attempted to set NFS = 8, and failed. I had to take darks manually. Has anyone been modifying this script? Weather was good, and seeing varied between 1.5 and .85". Productive night, however, during UW12 program, George reported some pointing problems. When his target was in the FOV initially, it appeared in the left-hand side of the slitviewer always. We lost some time to pointing error when we could not verify if a target was his, and I was forced to confirm the Echelle's filter wheel position and do a pointing check. The pointing check was not successful, but when he sent me his coordinates, I was able to slew and we got his star to appear in the extreme left of the slitviewer FOV. Not sure what to make of this. The rest of the night was uneventful. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- UW12 ECHELLE T/H 03:44 04:02 Pointing troubles with Echelle ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 21:03 dis-slit 383( 663) 109 64 17.9 19.2 19.2 18.8 17.9 -- 1.06 01:10 dis-slit 403( 572) 159 49 17.1 16.7 17.2 16.7 16.5 -- 1.20 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 69 31 17 262 (W) 1495 clear none 17:00 71 32 23 247 (WSW) 1846 clear none 18:00 71 29 16 266 (W) 4149 clear none 19:00 68 28 14 251 (WSW) 4767 clear none 20:00 65 26 14 246 (WSW) 3919 clear none 21:00 65 20 10 261 (W) 3455 clear none 22:00 64 15 13 259 (W) 1485 clear none 23:00 64 10 17 263 (W) 885 clear none 00:00 64 8 16 284 (WNW) 592 clear none 01:00 63 8 10 284 (WNW) 596 clear none 02:00 62 8 2 303 (WNW) 587 clear none 03:00 62 7 6 323 (NW) 713 clear none 04:00 61 9 5 353 (N) 724 clear none 05:00 62 9 7 347 (NNW) 836 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
