It took 20 minutes to recover it on the slitviewer again, so this time was lost to weather, even though we remained open. Got back on sky at 23:32, and stayed there. Before UC01 began, Russet logged in and helped with a quick collimation check. This took ~5 minutes, so I logged it to equipment time, though there was no failure. Everything seemed okay. Don had some trouble with coordinates and guiding at first, but no big issue. He fixed the coordinates, and we had no more problems. Don said he would turn off the lamps, so I went to bed after fills. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 20:56 ECHELLE 402( -356) -7 71 18.9 19.5 19.7 19.3 18.7 ND3 0.89 02:07 ECHELLE 400( -621) 251 51 14.1 14.0 14.5 14.0 13.8 ND3 2.00 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 74 38 17 246 (WSW) 1111 clear none 17:00 65 35 14 272 (W) 1352 ptly cldy none 18:00 70 36 8 250 (WSW) 1080 mstly clr none 19:00 69 37 10 251 (WSW) 965 mstly clr none 20:00 66 37 11 258 (WSW) 1173 mstly clr none 21:00 66 37 12 215 (SW) 2254 clear none 22:00 66 38 8 235 (SW) 1737 ptly cldy none 23:00 56 43 16 158 (SSE) 1345 mstly cldy none 00:00 58 44 19 147 (SSE) 1553 ptly cldy none 01:00 59 42 12 152 (SSE) 1784 mstly clr none 02:00 58 45 19 149 (SSE) 1672 ptly cldy none 03:00 55 46 15 120 (ESE) 1521 ptly cldy none 04:00 56 46 18 143 (SE) 1896 mstly clr none 05:00 54 47 12 142 (SE) 2582 mstly clr none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
