I opened then, and was ready to go when I noticed the mirror covers weren't opening with TUI. I manually reset to establish a connection, but it didn't work. TUI was telling me they were open, however. That done, the observer slewed, and I took me longer to realize that the eyelid was not responding to TUI. I did not notice this during cals because I had no reports of it, and he later informed me that his cals were fine. I opened it manually. Going back and forth sucked up some science time, so I list this in the equip section. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- UC04 SPICAM T/H 02:50 03:20 mirror covers needed manual operation ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 03:24 SPICAM 400( 561) -26 39 14.3 13.3 14.1 13.6 14.0 SDSS r 1.15 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 58 37 16 78 (ENE) 583 mstly cldy lt rain 17:00 62 43 11 66 (ENE) 639 cloudy lt rain 18:00 58 43 16 54 (NE) 616 cloudy lt rain 19:00 52 43 24 22 (NNE) 470 cloudy rain 20:00 53 40 25 70 (ENE) 632 cloudy lt rain 21:00 61 34 13 29 (NNE) 682 cloudy none 22:00 55 40 22 73 (ENE) 664 mstly cldy none 23:00 53 48 18 74 (ENE) 806 cloudy none 00:00 54 47 14 62 (ENE) 975 mstly clr none 01:00 52 50 14 67 (ENE) 1022 ptly cldy humid 02:00 58 42 6 74 (ENE) 744 ptly cldy none 03:00 61 36 9 269 (W) 872 mstly clr none 04:00 57 38 7 271 (W) 966 mstly clr none 05:00 56 40 10 269 (W) 995 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
