Remained closed until UW03 took cals and got on sky at 01:24. Worked at ~4000 dust counts before closing the first time- the mirror may need some cleaning. During UV01, the DIS slitviewer stopped updating for the user. He logged out, quit, and closed TUI, and opened again. The slitviewer functioned fine after that. I did not put this down as time lost for it took less than 5 minutes to fix the problem. Closed again for dust at 04:10. UW03 took cals and left early. I was able to open again on time for APOLLO. During the APOLLO run, Russet noticed a drift in altitude that was > 5" in 30 minutes. We both thought this was worth mentioning. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 20:38 dis-slit 500( 773) 235 68 15.1 19.0 19.1 18.9 16.0 -- 1.62 23:23 dis-slit 323( 284) 257 54 9.4 11.2 12.2 11.5 10.1 -- 2.03 01:38 dis-slit 313( 154) 133 64 9.4 10.6 11.4 10.7 9.4 -- 2.72 04:52 APOLLO 575( 1128) 84 37 9.4 10.2 10.9 10.3 9.6 -- 2.25 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 73 30 21 267 (W) 1757 clear none 17:00 66 29 15 261 (W) 1722 clear none 18:00 71 30 11 251 (WSW) 1785 clear none 19:00 66 30 13 205 (SSW) 1511 clear none 20:00 61 29 15 132 (SE) 1481 clear none 21:00 58 29 15 87 (E) 1994 clear none 22:00 57 28 15 82 (E) 2951 clear none 23:00 54 31 25 74 (ENE) 4582 mstly clr dust 00:00 51 32 25 71 (ENE) 4455 clear dust 01:00 50 32 23 73 (ENE) 3780 clear dust 02:00 49 32 18 77 (ENE) 3431 mstly clr none 03:00 50 32 19 124 (SE) 3604 mstly clr none 04:00 54 32 19 125 (SE) 4486 mstly clr dust 05:00 48 32 12 90 (E) 2884 mstly clr none 06:00 47 32 13 125 (SE) 2375 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
