When it was reasonably safe, we opened at 23:43. After focusing and attempting to set up Lucimara's nod script, the numbers I was typing in the log window somehow typed into the tcam exposure time window as well. I did not see the 2495 (instead of 2) until I hit expose, and it gave the "I can't do this command" noise. I then fixed the numbers and sent a 2 second exposure. It took the exposure, and then froze at the end of readout. Russet and I tried rebooting the Leach controller and all of the commands that go with it, hub startNubs, init, zap, and the abort X button. Nothing would stop it from finishing that 2495 second exposure. By the time we realized it was beyond us, the exposure was about to run out anyway so we all decided to wait the last 10 minutes until it finished. Then everything came back normally and we were able to guide normally. PR submitted. The rest of the night was productive, with mostly clear skies and moderate seeing. The humidity started to get dangerously high during the last half hour, but we finished up before it got too threatening. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 22:54 TSPEC 211( 486) 133 54 13.2 14.9 15.3 15.0 13.3 -- 2.19 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 69 35 8 228 (SW) 2532 clear none 17:00 69 35 19 207 (SSW) 3583 mstly clr none 18:00 67 34 10 221 (SW) 3950 cloudy none 19:00 66 33 18 237 (WSW) 3429 cloudy none 20:00 62 31 11 229 (SW) 3456 cloudy none 21:00 61 31 9 224 (SW) 3420 cloudy none 22:00 56 43 13 91 (E) 2230 cloudy none 23:00 54 41 16 129 (SE) 1873 ptly cldy none 00:00 56 40 19 138 (SE) 1633 mstly clr none 01:00 54 41 20 128 (SE) 1488 mstly clr none 02:00 51 37 10 112 (ESE) 1139 clear none 03:00 53 36 1 138 (SE) 1457 clear none 04:00 53 42 15 168 (SSE) 1467 clear none 05:00 52 45 17 155 (SSE) 1776 mstly clr none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
