Some clouds and local rain in the area postponed the opening by 45 minutes but the weather cleared up after that. Also, the chain that holds the LN2 tanks for TSPEC and Nic-Fps is broken (the clasp is broken). ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 20:08 dis-slit 535( 161) 52 74 4.7 6.3 6.4 6.5 4.9 1.70 20:39 dis-NA2 719( 293) 27 79 4.4 5.4 5.6 5.5 4.4 Clear 2.59 00:27 ECHELLE 590( -982) 126 49 3.0 3.1 3.7 3.2 3.0 Clear 1.51 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 46 25 13 83 (E) 639 cloudy none 17:00 48 26 8 0 (N) 650 cloudy none 18:00 48 24 13 54 (NE) 574 mstly cldy none 19:00 45 26 14 87 (E) 639 mstly cldy none 20:00 42 27 15 81 (E) 608 ptly cldy none 21:00 41 29 13 79 (E) 697 mstly clr none 22:00 40 28 23 74 (ENE) 670 mstly clr none 23:00 39 27 23 73 (ENE) 680 mstly clr none 00:00 40 27 21 70 (ENE) 780 clear none 01:00 38 29 14 82 (E) 801 clear none 02:00 38 30 18 75 (ENE) 809 clear none 03:00 38 31 18 77 (ENE) 878 clear none 04:00 37 31 19 75 (ENE) 802 clear none 05:00 37 30 16 91 (E) 956 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
