It cleared up quickly, and the weather and seeing improved after that. Decent seeing during first half. Seeing went up to ~2-2.5" during the second half, but we still had a productive night. Got Pan-Starrs from 05:30 until it was too bright to continue. CU students include: Rachel Plesha, Rebecca Nichols, Chris Yarrish, Jason Beden, Michael Topping, Anthony Harness, Fabio Mezzaleira. IR camera started freaking out again in the morning- around 05:00. I turned off the television for the IR cam because it was making people (myself included) nervous and nauceous. We couldn't find the rotator information in the header files. Is it listed there? ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 23:41 dis-slit 452( 239) -19 78 9.7 9.6 10.1 9.7 9.4 -- 1.27 01:21 dis-slit 510( 266) -8 47 8.6 8.6 9.1 8.7 8.4 -- 1.87 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 54 16 17 214 (SW) 6248 cloudy none 17:00 60 14 27 232 (SW) 2542 cloudy none 18:00 53 10 16 271 (W) 1061 ptly cldy none 19:00 54 9 20 242 (WSW) 865 ptly cldy none 20:00 51 7 19 239 (WSW) 902 mstly clr none 21:00 51 7 21 250 (WSW) 937 mstly clr none 22:00 51 11 19 268 (W) 771 clear none 23:00 50 12 22 268 (W) 854 clear none 00:00 49 14 18 268 (W) 799 clear none 01:00 48 14 31 289 (WNW) 788 clear none 02:00 47 15 24 280 (W) 824 clear none 03:00 46 17 22 273 (W) 779 clear none 04:00 44 18 27 291 (WNW) 751 clear none 05:00 44 18 16 279 (W) 759 clear none 06:00 43 18 21 298 (WNW) 771 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
