I did MS.DUMPS of the Az axis after doing a few slews after each error. Recovery was to just restart the drives and do a couple slews. No Problems after these two events. 07:30UT Fire alarm (Teleco line) went down. We also lost our connection to the outside world via the internet. Luckily my observer had 2 long exposures going. Internet came back in about 20 mins. No observing time loss. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- JH06 D T/H 03:18 03:48 Azimuth Motion Errors ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 22:01 dis-slit 506( -309) 107 58 -2.8 -2.4 -1.9 -2.4 -2.9 -- 1.16 01:12 dis-slit 477( -445) -71 71 -4.4 -4.3 -3.8 -4.3 -4.6 -- 1.46 01:20 ECHELLE 524( -599) -84 60 12.3 12.2 12.6 12.2 12.2 ND3 0.67 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 63 18 15 267 (W) 1825 clear none 17:00 64 18 12 272 (W) 1791 clear none 18:00 64 18 10 265 (W) 1555 clear none 19:00 60 16 6 260 (W) 1782 clear none 20:00 55 8 7 261 (W) 1928 clear none 21:00 57 12 9 257 (WSW) 1951 clear none 22:00 54 8 13 235 (SW) 2139 clear none 23:00 55 9 16 256 (WSW) 2222 clear none 00:00 55 10 16 236 (SW) 2055 clear none 01:00 55 9 10 230 (SW) 2059 clear none 02:00 54 9 10 211 (SSW) 2055 clear none 03:00 54 10 5 259 (W) 1915 clear none 04:00 52 8 3 341 (NNW) 1730 clear none 05:00 53 9 14 355 (N) 1773 clear none 06:00 53 9 15 24 (NNE) 1894 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
