Looked like little triangles instead of round. I didn't see anything obvious wrong with the mirror status or data. See slit image 108 for an example. We were at a relatively decent altitude (>60 deg) These were for stars near the boresight. Later I took an out of focus image (near boresight) Image 257 is 1000 steps (+) out of focus. 258 in focus. Stars looked rounder at this point. No problems otherwise. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 18:30 dis-slit 813( 502) 189 70 6.6 7.6 6.4 7.9 6.5 -- 0.93 19:11 dis-slit 629( 276) 223 75 6.6 6.8 6.5 6.9 6.2 -- 1.00 21:34 dis-slit 462( 83) 241 50 6.7 6.0 6.4 6.1 6.1 -- 1.30 00:10 dis-slit 494( 91) 206 79 6.6 5.9 6.3 6.3 6.2 -- 1.06 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 49 23 22 267 (W) 656 mstly cldy none 17:00 46 22 20 241 (WSW) 796 ptly cldy none 18:00 45 21 17 254 (WSW) 1112 mstly clr none 19:00 44 21 18 232 (SW) 1169 clear none 20:00 44 21 16 226 (SW) 1653 clear none 21:00 44 21 13 209 (SSW) 1812 clear none 22:00 44 21 11 207 (SSW) 1774 clear none 23:00 44 20 16 167 (SSE) 1972 clear none 00:00 45 20 20 203 (SSW) 4316 clear dust 01:00 44 20 14 180 (S) 4592 clear dust 02:00 44 20 18 200 (SSW) 3967 clear dust 03:00 44 20 11 187 (S) 3632 clear dust 04:00 43 20 10 215 (SW) 3827 clear dust 05:00 43 20 8 222 (SW) 3182 mstly clr dust Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
