Tried to troubleshoot a few things, but Joe ahd to come in to take a look at it. He managed to get it running again, but we prepared for using dis as a backup anyway. We lost no sky time to this problem, we were just taking cals a bit into twilight. After that, the shutter worked reliably the rest of the evening. The rest of the night was productive, with clear skies and pretty good seeing. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 18:52 ECHELLE 414(-1067) -16 80 2.4 5.3 5.5 5.3 2.9 Clear 1.44 00:21 dis-slit 419( -101) -99 38 4.1 2.9 3.4 2.8 3.0 -- 1.29 01:18 dis-slit 463( -84) -5 62 3.7 2.9 3.5 3.0 3.6 -- 1.13 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 46 16 14 266 (W) 733 clear none 17:00 48 16 10 224 (SW) 709 clear none 18:00 45 17 13 222 (SW) 696 clear none 19:00 40 18 7 196 (SSW) 716 clear none 20:00 36 18 9 123 (ESE) 679 clear none 21:00 38 15 1 147 (SSE) 728 clear none 22:00 39 14 1 169 (S) 619 clear none 23:00 41 9 1 280 (W) 457 clear none 00:00 40 10 1 313 (NW) 478 clear none 01:00 40 11 3 208 (SSW) 586 clear none 02:00 39 11 6 209 (SSW) 717 clear none 03:00 38 12 5 188 (S) 764 clear none 04:00 39 11 4 197 (SSW) 700 clear none 05:00 38 12 1 205 (SSW) 728 clear none 06:00 40 10 5 265 (W) 461 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
