It looked like a physicaly block, and was apparent to some extent in every image. Binned, unbinned, long or short exposures, filters- it didn't matter. It was always there. I verified that the eyelid was completely open, and the dark filter was completely pulled out. We could not figure out what it was, so Anjum continued her science and decided to work around the obstruction. The IR camera has been acting funny. Flickering and spazing out like a clip in a B-horror film. Not sure why this is. Other than that no problems. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 20:00 dis-slit 461( -36) 75 31 2.1 3.1 2.6 3.2 1.6 -- 1.62 01:27 AGILE 520(-2075) -124 43 3.3 2.5 2.8 2.8 3.1 BG40 0.80 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 37 9 9 347 (NNW) 456 clear none 17:00 37 9 7 350 (N) 451 clear none 18:00 37 10 9 304 (NW) 478 clear none 19:00 36 11 6 7 (N) 362 clear none 20:00 36 9 10 313 (NW) 430 clear none 21:00 35 9 10 271 (W) 386 clear none 22:00 36 10 8 273 (W) 532 clear none 23:00 36 11 12 298 (WNW) 468 clear none 00:00 36 10 11 300 (WNW) 460 clear none 01:00 38 10 17 302 (WNW) 371 clear none 02:00 38 10 9 321 (NW) 343 clear none 03:00 38 11 17 355 (N) 367 clear none 04:00 37 7 10 339 (NNW) 351 clear none 05:00 37 7 7 6 (N) 554 clear none 06:00 37 9 16 349 (N) 442 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
