I let Tom Murphy work on Apollo in the dome for about one hour around 20:00, given that weather was hopeless. I opened at 22:26. Focus loop was hard to run with crossing clouds. Observation started at 22:48 and actually ended at 23:40. Second half: just the time to run a focus loop and the sky was totally covered. Radar features entering the Otero County at about 3am. Started to snow at 4:50. We gave up at that moment. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 22:49 SPIcam 603( 491) 108 42 -0.1 1.2 1.8 0.9 0.0 MSSSO R 1.73 00:34 dcamera 597( 219) 111 81 -0.6 -0.5 0.1 -0.4 -0.6 -- 1.78 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 41 24 28 260 (W) 405 mstly cldy none 17:00 39 24 31 252 (WSW) 405 mstly cldy none 18:00 38 24 28 254 (WSW) 405 cloudy none 19:00 37 24 31 266 (W) 405 cloudy none 20:00 35 22 33 261 (W) 405 cloudy none 21:00 34 23 25 246 (WSW) 405 cloudy none 22:00 33 22 24 263 (W) 405 ptly cldy none 23:00 32 23 27 255 (WSW) 405 ptly cldy none 00:00 31 24 23 258 (WSW) 405 mstly cldy none 01:00 31 24 18 260 (W) 405 cloudy none 02:00 31 22 18 255 (WSW) 405 cloudy none 03:00 30 23 17 238 (WSW) 405 cloudy none 04:00 31 21 15 226 (SW) 405 cloudy snow Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
