Everything worked well (the echelle lamp problem from last night was a filter wheel misalignment) and the night was very productive. Over the last few days we've played host to 13 untrained student observers accompanied by three previously trained observers. Although this was not entirely without problems, the time was very well and efficiently spent. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 17:16 ecamera 738( -68) -31 23 9.1 10.4 9.7 10.2 9.2 ND5 0.69 17:55 ecamera 657( -225) -46 42 9.0 9.6 9.3 9.3 8.5 ND1 0.73 22:44 SPIcam 550( 750) 19 61 8.5 7.8 8.2 7.4 7.8 R 0.58 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 49 20 9 21 (NNE) 393 clear none 17:00 48 21 5 83 (E) 420 clear none 18:00 48 17 2 359 (N) 276 clear none 19:00 47 9 8 11 (N) 138 clear none 20:00 47 3 8 20 (NNE) 51 clear none 21:00 49 3 2 73 (ENE) 77 clear none 22:00 47 22 3 187 (S) 236 clear none 23:00 46 22 9 131 (SE) 285 clear none 00:00 47 16 4 159 (SSE) 174 clear none 01:00 47 17 3 173 (S) 195 clear none 02:00 45 20 5 121 (ESE) 255 clear none 03:00 45 18 9 153 (SSE) 253 clear none 04:00 45 15 10 136 (SE) 220 clear none 05:00 45 14 13 134 (SE) 197 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
