Good data. Then Echelle up to 22:03 for UV01. The flat lamp done at about 22:00 showed up much less counts that with NM06 before sunset. It is not due to the mirror cal because I checked it. Russet suggests it might be the filter wheel as observed few months ago. Then, DIS from 22 to midnight with the A wheel and 1.2 arcsec slit. Then Spicam from midnight to 3:24. We used that instrument change to place a density filter on the dcam and to change the wheel (E) for Jupiter obs planned after 03:00. DIS observations of Jupiter experienced issues with non-sideral tracking. Drifts of 0.5 arcsec/min were observed. Interpreted as miscentering Jupiter with respect to the imcenter. Very productive night overall, given that there were 5 different projects including Venus. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 17:19 ecamera 646( -327) -42 19 3.8 7.0 6.5 6.8 4.4 ND3 1.51 17:46 ecamera 568( -435) -47 15 4.1 6.2 5.7 5.7 4.3 ND3 1.39 19:17 ecamera 568( -578) -144 73 5.4 5.0 5.1 4.8 5.1 ND2 0.71 20:08 ecamera 709( -423) -112 55 5.4 5.1 5.5 5.0 5.0 ND2 0.56 22:18 dcamera 575( 454) 317 68 4.7 4.5 5.0 4.6 4.5 -- 0.85 00:51 SPIcam 670( 687) -41 56 4.6 4.1 4.5 4.1 4.3 Clear 0.67 03:58 dcamera 594( 481) 22 78 5.7 4.7 5.2 4.9 4.9 -- 0.85 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 42 22 10 323 (NW) 279 clear none 17:00 40 24 13 329 (NNW) 386 clear none 18:00 40 11 10 357 (N) 160 clear none 19:00 40 18 1 2 (N) 254 clear none 20:00 42 18 5 353 (N) 264 clear none 21:00 40 27 10 332 (NNW) 437 clear none 22:00 41 24 12 342 (NNW) 390 clear none 23:00 41 28 14 335 (NNW) 424 clear none 00:00 41 26 10 346 (NNW) 439 clear none 01:00 41 25 8 349 (N) 423 clear none 02:00 42 24 6 356 (N) 367 clear none 03:00 42 24 5 3 (N) 361 clear none 04:00 42 24 5 38 (NE) 421 clear none 05:00 41 18 17 36 (NE) 337 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
