In second half, I opened at 2:25 because it has cleared up for the past 30 min with however clouds crossing. Focus loop done on a 5 mag star. Could not detect he target (13.5 mag). Covered after few other minutes. No science data. Dewpoint sensor of the 3.5m is still stuck below 0 celcius while it is 1.7 on the 2.5 sensor. We could have reopened at about 4, for significant clear sky but humidity was too high. We definitely give up at 5am, the observers needing long-exposure times and the weather being too bad. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 02:41 tcamera 641( 741) 180 55 4.6 4.7 5.1 5.0 4.5 1.62 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 44 29 9 197 (SSW) 405 mstly cldy none 17:00 43 31 5 183 (S) 405 mstly cldy none 18:00 41 30 3 162 (SSE) 405 mstly cldy none 19:00 42 31 16 151 (SSE) 405 cloudy none 20:00 42 30 21 153 (SSE) 405 cloudy none 21:00 43 28 20 138 (SE) 405 cloudy none 22:00 43 27 12 175 (S) 405 cloudy none 23:00 41 27 13 126 (SE) 405 cloudy none 00:00 41 27 23 140 (SE) 405 cloudy none 01:00 42 26 22 145 (SE) 405 cloudy none 02:00 41 28 23 143 (SE) 405 mstly cldy none 03:00 40 31 25 144 (SE) 405 mstly cldy none 04:00 38 31 20 133 (SE) 405 cloudy none 05:00 39 31 22 145 (SE) 405 cloudy none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
