As yesterday, I had problem in fcusing triplspec because the star considered for focusing drifts upward during sweep procedure. I resolved it by center-selecting above the star. Quite heavy cloud between 10 and 12. First half observer signed off a little in advance because of high airmass of her targets and clouds at low altitude. Partially cloudy up to 4am, then clear. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 17:55 tcamera 630( 1022) 237 71 7.6 10.6 9.8 9.9 7.8 -- 1.63 00:03 ecamera 677( -369) 73 76 7.7 7.0 7.5 7.0 7.2 ND3 0.92 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 52 23 11 321 (NW) 392 clear none 17:00 50 22 1 176 (S) 425 clear none 18:00 48 22 2 240 (WSW) 416 clear none 19:00 46 20 4 328 (NNW) 511 clear none 20:00 46 18 1 257 (WSW) 325 mstly clr none 21:00 47 14 7 181 (S) 294 mstly clr none 22:00 47 26 9 185 (S) 479 mstly cldy none 23:00 47 28 7 180 (S) 513 ptly cldy none 00:00 47 27 8 180 (S) 515 ptly cldy none 01:00 46 26 7 180 (S) 418 ptly cldy none 02:00 47 27 10 182 (S) 445 ptly cldy none 03:00 47 26 8 180 (S) 453 ptly cldy none 04:00 46 27 10 179 (S) 430 clear none 05:00 44 28 8 178 (S) 434 clear none 06:00 45 29 9 180 (S) 388 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
