I could see fog forming to our east and relied on the 2.5m dew point (which was reporting 92% humidity vs. 60% for the 3.5m). Wet railings and dew on car windshields confirmed the the 2.5m was more accurate in reporting humidity tonight. 20 min darks ran for SPIcam, Echelle, and DIS tonight. Since we had an echelle problem today, and 2nd half wanted the echelle, the time was swapped for engineering EN01 instead of UW09. High humidity, a little rain, and fog kept us closed for the night. I gave up at 05:00 under heavy fog. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 51 30 12 186 (S) 411 ptly cldy none 17:00 47 29 9 205 (SSW) 400 ptly cldy humid 18:00 47 30 9 181 (S) 316 ptly cldy humid 19:00 43 30 9 121 (ESE) 316 ptly cldy humid 20:00 43 30 9 182 (S) 263 mstly clr humid 21:00 44 30 10 193 (SSW) 240 ptly cldy humid 22:00 43 30 12 209 (SSW) 202 cloudy humid 23:00 44 30 12 212 (SSW) 96 cloudy humid 00:00 43 30 13 207 (SSW) 121 cloudy lt rain 01:00 43 30 10 195 (SSW) 9243 cloudy fog 02:00 42 30 14 218 (SW) 8358 cloudy fog 03:00 43 32 14 211 (SSW) 127695 cloudy fog 04:00 42 32 12 193 (SSW) 6586 cloudy fog 05:00 41 31 16 240 (WSW) 18503 cloudy fog Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
