Night was productive until right around midnight, when the humidity went up very quickly. I closed when ice was starting to form on metal surfaces. Humidity and eventually nearby radar returns kept me closed the rest of the night. In preparation for coming snow, the dome was parked facing south. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 17:46 dis-slit 459( -133) 103 21 -3.5 0.7 -0.4 1.3 -2.3 -- 2.00 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 28 11 1 174 (S) 0 clear none 17:00 28 12 4 134 (SE) 0 clear none 18:00 26 -3 8 184 (S) 0 clear none 19:00 24 -4 6 182 (S) 0 clear none 20:00 28 -8 8 189 (S) 0 clear none 21:00 23 1 6 179 (S) 0 clear none 22:00 23 9 10 185 (S) 0 clear none 23:00 21 11 3 172 (S) 0 clear humid 00:00 15 11 8 113 (ESE) 0 clear humid 01:00 14 10 8 104 (ESE) 0 clear humid 02:00 14 8 13 124 (SE) 0 clear humid 03:00 14 9 12 124 (SE) 0 clear humid 04:00 11 8 7 114 (ESE) 0 mstly clr none 05:00 12 9 11 88 (E) 0 ptly cldy none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
