All was peaceful for a few hours, then a very frustrating weather pattern started up with few or thin clouds onsite, but believable fast-moving radar returns too close for comfort. We did actually get a few light sprinkles of rain to justify remaining closed for some hours. When we were able to reopen, the unsettled weather showed in worse seeing and some waves of clouds, but at least it was possible to get some observations. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 20:15 ECHELLE 689( -343) -6 42 10.9 13.6 11.3 14.3 11.2 ND3 1.07 21:59 dis-slit 419( 304) -117 68 11.3 11.5 11.0 11.1 10.9 - 0.88 04:51 ECHELLE 482( -802) 52 50 9.1 8.8 9.2 9.0 8.9 Clear 1.36 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 58 38 11 280 (W) 147 ptly cldy none 17:00 56 34 7 313 (NW) 136 ptly cldy none 18:00 57 36 2 193 (SSW) 169 ptly cldy none 19:00 49 36 7 70 (ENE) 155 ptly cldy none 20:00 53 31 7 340 (NNW) 153 mstly clr none 21:00 52 30 6 20 (NNE) 185 mstly clr none 22:00 53 27 6 9 (N) 143 ptly cldy none 23:00 50 31 12 68 (ENE) 161 mstly clr none 00:00 47 31 18 70 (ENE) 135 ptly cldy none 01:00 48 31 19 62 (ENE) 170 ptly cldy none 02:00 50 31 15 62 (ENE) 169 mstly cldy lt rain 03:00 49 31 22 65 (ENE) 186 ptly cldy none 04:00 49 29 17 56 (NE) 328 ptly cldy none 05:00 49 29 21 69 (ENE) 457 mstly clr none 06:00 49 26 23 67 (ENE) 386 mstly clr none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
