We did not open. Gave up at about 05:00. Started training new observers, Damian Christian and John Hodgson. Maybe the weather will work out for them later this week... Don York noted that even though cal mirror and filter wheel were verified and moved by hand, but still had low counts in blue filtered images. Not sure what was going on here, as everything was fine as far as I could tell. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 65 34 20 246 (WSW) 353 mstly clr none 17:00 62 33 10 220 (SW) 339 mstly clr none 18:00 63 27 20 234 (SW) 368 ptly cldy none 19:00 57 30 17 216 (SW) 336 ptly cldy none 20:00 57 31 9 208 (SSW) 300 cloudy lt rain 21:00 56 23 11 209 (SSW) 416 cloudy none 22:00 56 25 9 210 (SSW) 418 cloudy none 23:00 55 27 9 182 (S) 476 cloudy none 00:00 54 24 16 144 (SE) 478 cloudy none 01:00 52 22 15 153 (SSE) 787 cloudy lt rain 02:00 49 20 14 182 (S) 616 cloudy lt rain 03:00 49 20 6 219 (SW) 816 cloudy lt rain 04:00 50 21 1 216 (SW) 397 cloudy lt rain 05:00 49 22 7 214 (SW) 345 cloudy lt rain 06:00 50 20 8 181 (S) 316 cloudy none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
