Jon was working on the tcc anyway, so I don't count this as time lost to weather. Jon was unable to get the tcc to backup. I did the dis focus tests, a large NA2 pointing model, small NA1 pointing model, and attempted some throughput measurements. These were done in occaasionally cloudy skies. Heavy clouds and nearby radar returns forced me to close at about 03:00. The weather never improved, and I gave up at 05:30. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 22:04 GUIDER 347( 492) 4 58 13.2 13.5 13.8 13.4 13.0 Clear 0.92 22:07 NA2gdr 549(30549) 3 58 13.1 13.5 13.8 13.4 13.0 Clear 0.78 00:52 ECHELLE 456( -629) 340 50 13.1 12.8 13.1 12.9 12.9 Clear 0.89 02:26 dis-slit 373( 319) 135 49 12.7 12.3 12.8 12.4 12.1 -- 0.98 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 60 30 12 254 (WSW) 301 ptly cldy none 17:00 64 31 13 272 (W) 299 ptly cldy none 18:00 61 31 13 223 (SW) 322 ptly cldy none 19:00 56 30 12 239 (WSW) 325 ptly cldy none 20:00 55 31 10 217 (SW) 381 ptly cldy none 21:00 56 31 12 213 (SSW) 367 clear none 22:00 56 31 10 194 (SSW) 386 clear none 23:00 56 31 13 209 (SSW) 385 clear none 00:00 56 31 15 231 (SW) 436 mstly clr none 01:00 55 31 12 235 (SW) 395 ptly cldy none 02:00 55 32 11 253 (WSW) 412 cloudy none 03:00 55 32 9 260 (W) 367 cloudy rain 04:00 53 32 7 252 (WSW) 389 cloudy lt rain 05:00 54 31 5 270 (W) 337 cloudy none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
