No real problems. The second half observer was puzzled by some change in the echelle spectra since August 12 - a wavelength shift which isn't excessive but enough to cause some difficulty with extraction, and a reduction in the brightness of blue flats (but not red ones). ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 19:34 dis-slit 219( 473) 185 64 16.1 18.6 18.3 18.5 16.4 - 1.30 20:26 ECHELLE 274( -602) 199 62 15.6 17.1 17.1 16.7 15.6 ND2 1.26 00:12 ECHELLE 379( -597) -58 49 15.0 14.8 15.3 14.8 14.5 ND1 1.16 01:24 TSPEC 381( 647) -105 38 14.6 14.3 14.8 14.3 14.2 Ks 1.53 03:30 ECHELLE 367( -629) 72 34 14.4 14.0 14.4 14.0 14.3 Clear 1.73 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 71 39 3 255 (WSW) 735 ptly cldy none 17:00 68 39 7 231 (SW) 725 ptly cldy none 18:00 67 39 6 180 (S) 717 ptly cldy none 19:00 65 38 10 203 (SSW) 695 mstly clr none 20:00 61 38 11 150 (SSE) 720 clear none 21:00 61 37 15 135 (SE) 713 clear none 22:00 61 37 12 141 (SE) 740 clear none 23:00 61 36 14 159 (SSE) 677 clear none 00:00 60 37 16 143 (SE) 702 clear none 01:00 59 38 13 143 (SE) 804 clear none 02:00 59 38 8 150 (SSE) 834 clear none 03:00 57 38 7 148 (SSE) 789 clear none 04:00 58 38 6 182 (S) 823 clear none 05:00 57 38 8 192 (SSW) 841 clear none 06:00 58 39 6 186 (S) 855 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
