There were lots of nearby radar returns which I judged to be spurious from the Holloman Nexrad station, but it did make me nervous. At about 02:25 there was a trouble alarm from the fire system. After I spent a few minutes making sure there was no actual fire, I realized that the observer had not said or done anything for a while. Then I realized that I couldn't reach any outside web pages, and our internet was down. EDITED: I thought at the time that the phones were working, but it turned out they were only working locally, and interstate phone lines were down. Therefore the observer was unable to contact me or vice versa. After half an hour of waiting I used the time for a pointing model, and based on this I listed it as EN01 time. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- UV07 D T/U 02:25 02:55 Internet & phone down ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 19:47 ECHELLE 350( -558) 108 77 15.1 16.6 16.7 16.1 15.3 ND1 0.80 22:16 ECHELLE 374( -624) 79 38 13.8 14.1 14.6 13.9 13.7 ND2 1.40 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 60 49 8 10 (N) 1309 ptly cldy none 17:00 63 47 5 116 (ESE) 2077 ptly cldy none 18:00 68 46 9 109 (ESE) 2226 ptly cldy none 19:00 62 46 6 92 (E) 2368 ptly cldy none 20:00 61 46 4 95 (E) 2036 ptly cldy none 21:00 59 46 11 89 (E) 2101 ptly cldy none 22:00 58 44 20 80 (E) 2048 ptly cldy none 23:00 57 46 12 135 (SE) 2290 ptly cldy none 00:00 56 46 11 141 (SE) 1799 mstly clr none 01:00 55 46 10 126 (SE) 1417 mstly clr none 02:00 54 48 14 122 (ESE) 1336 mstly clr none 03:00 55 44 20 87 (E) 951 mstly clr none 04:00 55 43 5 11 (N) 971 mstly clr none 05:00 54 43 5 168 (SSE) 864 mstly clr none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
