Mediocre seeing. Nice lunar eclipse in the morning. NICFPS failed a handful of times at one position, ~-80 degrees or so. Re-initing worked each time and that was the only location that we saw any failures tonight. No other problems. Would be good to CO2 the mirror. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 20:06 NICFPS 356( 1134) 45 49 16.6 18.8 18.5 18.2 17.4 1.55 00:21 TSPEC 411( 753) 67 55 17.2 16.3 16.8 16.2 16.3 0.92 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 73 30 16 240 (WSW) 3812 mstly clr none 17:00 69 25 12 264 (W) 3973 mstly clr none 18:00 69 25 17 248 (WSW) 3154 mstly clr none 19:00 69 26 11 232 (SW) 2404 mstly clr none 20:00 65 21 6 253 (WSW) 2601 mstly clr none 21:00 64 20 7 284 (WNW) 3006 mstly clr none 22:00 64 20 6 271 (W) 2789 mstly clr none 23:00 62 19 6 267 (W) 2194 mstly clr none 00:00 62 19 6 287 (WNW) 2448 mstly clr none 01:00 63 20 5 276 (W) 3488 mstly clr none 02:00 61 18 6 346 (NNW) 3260 mstly clr none 03:00 62 19 3 350 (N) 3226 mstly clr none 04:00 62 19 3 327 (NNW) 3309 mstly clr none 05:00 61 18 6 17 (NNE) 4497 mstly clr none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
