Same weather pattern as yeaterday: afternoon building of local clouds/storms. TSEPC guider struggled with faint star guiding. High sky background, clouds + dust + moon, like observing in city lights. Tried using NA2 guider for guide corrections but cannot maintian guide star through nods. Later when the thin cirrus cleared the guider seemed to perform better. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 19:31 TSPEC 559( 1061) 8 55 16.8 19.3 18.4 18.8 17.0 1.23 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 66 41 14 236 (SW) 2833 mstly clr none 17:00 68 37 7 263 (W) 3056 mstly clr none 18:00 68 37 17 224 (SW) 2776 mstly clr none 19:00 66 34 17 232 (SW) 2856 mstly clr none 20:00 63 33 12 219 (SW) 3075 mstly clr none 21:00 62 32 11 209 (SSW) 3116 mstly clr none 22:00 62 27 9 199 (SSW) 3283 mstly clr none 23:00 62 30 13 201 (SSW) 3254 mstly clr none 00:00 62 32 15 204 (SSW) 2919 mstly clr none 01:00 62 30 9 185 (S) 2610 mstly clr none 02:00 62 31 9 181 (S) 2672 mstly clr none 03:00 61 30 12 210 (SSW) 2023 mstly clr none 04:00 59 36 15 194 (SSW) 2670 mstly clr none 05:00 59 38 9 189 (S) 3040 mstly clr none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
