It came back on its own, and I'm not at all sure why it restarted itself. Sent an email to Joe/Bill/Fritz. I would feel much better if I knew how to deal with this if it happens again. Ecam shutter was well behaved tonight. Joe signed on to check that it was ok still. The shutter and the flat fielding were alright. First part of the evening was lost to high dust and winds, but it calmed down shortly after sunset and the rest of the night was clear. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 20:19 dis-slit 362( 495) -47 64 14.6 16.3 16.6 15.7 14.8 -- 1.34 00:19 ECHELLE 523( -589) -10 27 11.2 11.4 12.0 11.4 11.1 ND3 1.80 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 71 28 34 223 (SW) 4623 ptly cldy none 17:00 69 24 29 201 (SSW) 4746 ptly cldy dust 18:00 65 24 22 214 (SW) 4347 clear dust 19:00 65 17 14 263 (W) 6040 clear dust 20:00 60 12 12 257 (WSW) 6549 clear dust 21:00 58 10 14 260 (W) 2536 clear dust 22:00 57 12 17 272 (W) 1448 clear none 23:00 56 15 18 260 (W) 1235 clear none 00:00 54 15 15 265 (W) 1330 clear none 01:00 53 15 14 253 (WSW) 1430 clear none 02:00 51 16 13 276 (W) 1672 clear none 03:00 50 18 17 240 (WSW) 1908 clear none 04:00 49 18 10 268 (W) 1776 clear none 05:00 48 18 13 294 (WNW) 1984 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
