Around 02:00 the dust counts started to go up, and I realized it was smoke. I closed, and we were not able to open the rest of the night, smoke thick in the air. I was unable to find any evidence of a fire nearby, so I suspect it was blowing from the Gila fire. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 19:38 dis-slit 479( 710) 266 59 17.2 18.1 18.5 17.8 17.4 -- 1.40 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 72 28 29 267 (W) 2959 clear dust 17:00 74 30 17 246 (WSW) 3716 clear dust 18:00 69 26 30 254 (WSW) 3468 clear none 19:00 67 24 17 250 (WSW) 1945 clear none 20:00 63 20 18 255 (WSW) 1882 clear none 21:00 63 21 16 264 (W) 2221 clear none 22:00 63 18 11 257 (WSW) 1874 clear none 23:00 62 18 12 267 (W) 1809 clear none 00:00 61 20 12 265 (W) 1791 ptly cldy none 01:00 61 22 16 298 (WNW) 2299 ptly cldy none 02:00 60 18 17 314 (NW) 6859 clear dust 03:00 59 17 16 271 (W) 5230 clear dust 04:00 59 17 13 308 (NW) 3934 clear dust Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
