I wasn't sure if it tried an auto-fill while I was transfering LN2 (It did it around that time on Sunday night) so I just wanted to be safe and make sure there was LN2 in the instrument. Clear until the clouds rolled in around 03:00. At 03:50 I opted to close the dome as we were getting no data and the clouds were getting worse. We re-opened at 04:45 between for a sucker hole so Don could get a telluric standard. Didn't appear to be anmy precip threat, just clouds. We called it at 05:05 as the clouds became too thick again. I filled NICFPS and GFP at 04:15 and topped the GFP again at 05:15 when I finally closed for the night. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 19:50 dis-slit 340( 302) 219 76 9.7 13.0 12.6 12.5 10.1 -- 1.47 00:16 ECHELLE 390( -903) -143 58 8.7 8.8 9.3 8.7 8.6 ND3 1.80 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 61 17 17 183 (S) 2152 clear none 17:00 59 17 16 190 (S) 2710 clear none 18:00 58 19 10 208 (SSW) 2492 clear none 19:00 56 21 11 197 (SSW) 2362 clear none 20:00 51 18 12 163 (SSE) 2433 clear none 21:00 50 15 14 158 (SSE) 3233 clear none 22:00 50 18 14 158 (SSE) 2891 clear none 23:00 49 21 15 163 (SSE) 2653 clear none 00:00 49 22 15 157 (SSE) 2403 clear none 01:00 48 24 14 138 (SE) 2834 clear none 02:00 48 25 10 129 (SE) 2886 clear none 03:00 47 26 10 164 (SSE) 2955 mstly cldy none 04:00 51 23 7 186 (S) 2571 mstly cldy none 05:00 50 22 2 183 (S) 2409 ptly cldy none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
