Lightning was still to our NE (25KM) so I delayed a little for it to move a little further away before opening. The flood lights were on inside the NMSU 1M dome, I manually turned them off at the switch at 01:05. Clouds moved back in around 02:15. Nearby radar returns and lightning within 15KM at 04:30. We gave up shortly thereafter. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 23:58 dis-slit 94( -143) 126 39 7.0 8.4 8.9 8.1 7.0 -- 1.75 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 59 39 21 204 (SSW) 1659 ptly cldy none 17:00 57 38 18 213 (SSW) 1519 ptly cldy none 18:00 54 40 15 134 (SE) 1312 mstly cldy none 19:00 53 39 21 183 (S) 1594 cloudy none 20:00 49 41 11 90 (E) 1319 cloudy none 21:00 40 39 28 54 (NE) 802 cloudy rain 22:00 41 38 8 58 (ENE) 443 cloudy none 23:00 43 37 13 36 (NE) 788 mstly cldy none 00:00 45 36 14 16 (NNE) 1345 mstly clr none 01:00 44 36 8 358 (N) 1592 mstly clr none 02:00 42 36 3 206 (SSW) 1992 mstly cldy none 03:00 41 36 14 79 (E) 1515 cloudy none 04:00 40 36 10 79 (E) 1571 mstly cldy none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
