New DIS Blue grating flat tests ------------------------------- I took 1 60s DIS blue flat (Br.Qrtz lamp) to compare new grating to old grating flat. The peak is about 9000-9500 cts in 60s, very similiar to the old grating. Fixed Echelle pointing New ecam star sensitivity test ------------------------------ I needed a faint star for Joe's new mask anyhow, so I figured I would find something faint USNO_A2_number RA2000 Dec2000 MagB MagR Plate Arcsec 1125.05583445 08:19:16.737 +27:37:24.44 18.4 18.1 312 165.36 slit image e0035.fits @ 5s clear filter slit image e0036.fits @15s clear filter 1125.05583054 08:19:13.167 +27:41:30.50 17.2 16.9 312 164.89 slit image e0038.fits @ 5s clear filter Note, faint star not bright star Flat cam mask tests for Joe --------------------------- Old Mask 1125.05583445 08:19:16.737 +27:37:24.44 18.4 18.1 312 165.36 slit image e0040.fits @ 5s clear filter new mask slit image e0041.fits @ 5s clear filter 1125.05583054 08:19:13.167 +27:41:30.50 17.2 16.9 312 164.89 new mask slit image e0044.fits @5s clear filter I left the new mask in place. I didn't try guiding with the new mask (just realized, at the end of the night that might have been useful). New flat fielded mask looked fine thought with similar sensitivity.
