When we were able to open, the seeing was poor to awful, not unexpected. More surprisingly, everything worked just fine despite the sudden sharp cold snap - I suppose that's the difference between a cold snap in April compared to one in November! ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 19:46 ECHELLE 646(-1026) 216 66 -3.1 1.1 3.0 0.5 -2.0 Clear 3.50 21:23 dis-slit 600( -262) -101 61 -3.6 -3.2 -2.5 -3.5 -3.6 - 3.80 04:41 APOLLO 550( 196) 49 57 -7.4 -7.2 -6.5 -7.2 -7.5 530 2.50 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 47 16 43 235 (SW) 138055 ptly cldy dust 17:00 43 15 26 281 (W) 112891 ptly cldy dust 18:00 37 20 16 276 (W) 59846 mstly clr dust 19:00 33 20 30 289 (WNW) 19867 mstly clr dust 20:00 28 19 20 305 (NW) 7121 ptly cldy none 21:00 26 18 3 296 (WNW) 1780 ptly cldy none 22:00 26 17 26 288 (WNW) 1170 mstly cldy none 23:00 25 15 18 295 (WNW) 1298 cloudy lt snow 00:00 25 13 22 299 (WNW) 1515 cloudy none 01:00 24 10 23 282 (WNW) 1299 cloudy none 02:00 25 9 31 270 (W) 1431 mstly cldy none 03:00 23 5 16 283 (WNW) 1311 mstly clr none 04:00 21 2 29 298 (WNW) 761 clear none 05:00 19 5 32 311 (NW) 757 clear none 06:00 18 8 13 321 (NW) 1521 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
