Ran press fans for most of the night. Niis is down for the count. While I remained closed for weather, I let them work on getting it up and running. The remainder of the night was used for engineering. Started dome stuff 19:30, opened at 00:14 Checked Dis focus, checked collimation with Agile, had problems with Shack-Hartmann virtual computer, took some Dis throughput measurements, potentially found a solution to the ecam mask problem, and took/applied a new pointing model. Seeing was variable and a bit bad. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 02:32 ECHELLE 506(-1301) 61 59 -1.4 -1.2 -0.7 -1.3 -1.6 ND1 1.28 02:41 SHACK 350( 136) 56 61 -1.6 -1.4 -0.8 -1.4 -1.7 -- 1.50 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 43 7 31 259 (W) 6859 clear dust 17:00 40 4 40 255 (WSW) 5857 clear dust 18:00 37 3 29 251 (WSW) 11460 clear dust 19:00 36 3 30 262 (W) 2888 clear dust 20:00 34 5 32 254 (WSW) 3405 clear dust 21:00 34 3 22 263 (W) 3092 clear dust 22:00 33 2 29 273 (W) 12547 clear dust 23:00 32 1 26 276 (W) 10716 clear dust 00:00 32 0 23 276 (W) 4321 clear none 01:00 31 0 18 265 (W) 2044 clear none 02:00 31 0 20 264 (W) 1315 clear none 03:00 29 1 15 259 (W) 1351 clear none 04:00 29 1 14 220 (SW) 3529 clear none 05:00 28 3 18 209 (SSW) 1416 clear none 06:00 27 5 15 234 (SW) 2843 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
