Pointing was off for the echelle. Star fell just outside the FOV (left side). The tertpoint script worked but the slitviewer did not want to recognize the star, it instead recognized some blank part of the field. I had to manually adjust the settings to get the star near the slit (or I could have used Russet's other script for these type of issues). ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 18:22 dis-slit 521( 9) 162 69 2.5 3.6 3.5 3.0 2.4 -- 1.10 21:27 dis-slit 386( -259) 136 56 1.4 0.9 1.3 0.8 0.8 -- 1.38 22:14 ECHELLE 520(-1178) 95 68 1.7 1.0 1.4 1.2 1.2 ND3 1.07 00:46 dis-slit 459( -160) 23 61 1.8 1.5 1.9 1.6 1.6 -- 1.54 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 39 7 8 273 (W) 700 clear none 17:00 39 8 18 286 (WNW) 607 clear none 18:00 36 8 16 290 (WNW) 773 clear none 19:00 37 9 17 265 (W) 894 clear none 20:00 35 11 17 262 (W) 845 clear none 21:00 35 10 15 273 (W) 749 clear none 22:00 36 9 14 285 (WNW) 780 clear none 23:00 35 10 12 286 (WNW) 659 clear none 00:00 36 8 15 297 (WNW) 641 clear none 01:00 35 9 18 308 (NW) 691 clear none 02:00 34 8 20 326 (NW) 734 clear none 03:00 33 7 19 336 (NNW) 771 clear none 04:00 35 5 20 327 (NNW) 771 clear none 05:00 35 3 19 318 (NW) 754 clear none 06:00 34 4 16 304 (NW) 750 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
