He gave me a call, and gave the remaining time to the second half observer, whenever they signed on. I took some extra flats for him, which filled the time until the dome had to be closed anyway due to weather. The time spent taking flats is listed under OBS and the time after that under WEATH. Throughout the night weather problems came and went--clouds and occasional high winds, which forced me to close at about 03:00. Called it a night at 05:26. Otherwise, seeing was right around 1" for productive data-taking. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 18:11 TSPEC 339( 76) 212 44 1.0 4.2 3.6 3.0 1.1 -- 1.10 23:12 TSPEC 479( 71) -41 61 2.4 1.7 2.1 1.9 2.0 -- 1.00 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 41 14 8 263 (W) 552 clear none 17:00 37 14 7 212 (SSW) 523 clear none 18:00 34 13 13 148 (SSE) 540 ptly cldy none 19:00 36 9 16 166 (SSE) 558 ptly cldy none 20:00 35 9 20 147 (SSE) 542 mstly cldy none 21:00 36 10 23 181 (S) 783 mstly cldy none 22:00 36 11 19 181 (S) 885 mstly cldy none 23:00 36 11 27 197 (SSW) 897 clear none 00:00 37 12 25 193 (SSW) 932 ptly cldy none 01:00 38 13 29 182 (S) 978 clear none 02:00 38 14 29 195 (SSW) 1108 clear none 03:00 37 14 30 199 (SSW) 1059 cloudy none 04:00 36 14 28 180 (S) 1085 cloudy none 05:00 36 15 29 207 (SSW) 1299 cloudy none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
