Seeing was decent for the most part, but occasionally variable up to 3". Had to fix pointing for echelle at the beginning of second half (thanks, Russet). It took an additional 10 minutes, but since we budgeted time wisely we only lost about 4 minutes of UV02 time. At the end of the night I did an inst change for NA1 back to NA2 (spicam). The mirror status *says* it's in roughly the right place, but, as I'm learning, that doesn't mean it's really there. There were no collimation errors. I gave it a few minutes to settle, then hit the stop buttons and closed up. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 18:12 SPICAM 363( 144) 111 74 5.3 6.5 6.1 6.4 5.2 MSSSO R 0.70 18:12 SPICAM 363( 144) 111 74 5.4 6.5 6.1 6.4 5.2 MSSSO R 2.70 00:31 ECHELLE 522(-1053) 249 35 4.0 2.7 3.2 2.8 3.6 ND3 0.90 02:13 ECHELLE 562(-1021) 176 65 4.9 3.2 3.6 3.4 4.1 Clear 1.14 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 43 12 1 204 (SSW) 357 ptly cldy none 17:00 43 17 2 76 (ENE) 398 ptly cldy none 18:00 43 8 4 285 (WNW) 198 ptly cldy none 19:00 39 16 8 314 (NW) 297 mstly clr none 20:00 38 20 8 309 (NW) 386 ptly cldy none 21:00 36 20 7 358 (N) 394 ptly cldy none 22:00 40 0 8 335 (NNW) 75 mstly clr none 23:00 38 3 6 347 (NNW) 124 mstly clr none 00:00 38 7 6 5 (N) 104 clear none 01:00 38 0 4 13 (NNE) 63 clear none 02:00 40 8 15 22 (NNE) 79 clear none 03:00 43 2 2 227 (SW) 54 clear none 04:00 40 11 11 40 (NE) 78 mstly clr none 05:00 38 14 6 17 (NNE) 123 mstly clr none 06:00 44 2 9 2 (N) 79 mstly clr none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
