About 1/4-1/2 inch of snow. I ran the snow program all night and parked the telescope due south. Outside temps way too low for the roof heaters to be of any use so I kept them off all night. Sunshine should melt the snow on the roof during the daytime (if the fog/humidity/clouds go away). I shut down around 03:30AM since there was little chance we were going to be opening during the remainder of the night. Looks like we will have a white Christmas up here at APO this year with last nights snow. Merry Christmas to all! ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 17:31 ECHELLE 579(-1184) 162 44 -1.9 -0.7 -0.4 -0.8 -1.9 ND3 2.80 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 31 17 9 193 (SSW) 141 ptly cldy none 17:00 30 17 17 201 (SSW) 14 mstly clr none 18:00 29 17 18 217 (SW) 81 ptly cldy none 19:00 28 18 11 210 (SSW) 360 mstly cldy none 20:00 27 19 25 244 (WSW) 136 cloudy none 21:00 27 21 29 255 (WSW) 61 cloudy snow 22:00 24 23 25 290 (WNW) 68 cloudy snow 23:00 19 18 5 279 (W) 11 cloudy snow 00:00 20 17 13 285 (WNW) 19 cloudy humid 01:00 19 18 19 323 (NW) 269 cloudy humid 02:00 19 18 17 327 (NNW) 196 cloudy humid 03:00 18 17 18 285 (WNW) 3 cloudy humid 04:00 17 16 19 307 (NW) 3 cloudy humid Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
