Once the mirror problems were corrected observing was fairly routine except for some pointing problems. For more information see Russet's email. Some clouds began to move in around 0215 but did not effect observing. Don York (UC01) was on in the afternoon and early evening building a superflat for the Echelle. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- UW03 P T/H 17:30 20:50 M2 & M3 stuck, Needed homing NM07 E T/H 00:10 00:20 Bad pointing due to M3 problems ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 20:52 AGILE 440(-2011) -34 52 5.7 5.6 6.0 5.8 5.6 SDSSr 0.85 00:17 ECHELLE 550(-902) -136 37 5.4 5.2 5.6 5.3 5.0 Clear 1.25 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 50 18 13 217 (SW) 172 clear none 17:00 44 17 15 218 (SW) 211 clear none 18:00 42 19 15 238 (WSW) 230 clear none 19:00 42 18 19 237 (WSW) 305 clear none 20:00 43 18 22 266 (W) 215 clear none 21:00 42 17 25 265 (W) 232 clear none 22:00 41 15 16 272 (W) 201 clear none 23:00 42 14 11 268 (W) 232 clear none 00:00 42 16 18 271 (W) 279 clear none 01:00 42 15 21 279 (W) 332 clear none 02:00 41 14 16 264 (W) 347 mstly clr none 03:00 41 14 21 268 (W) 408 ptly cldy none 04:00 40 14 15 264 (W) 435 ptly cldy none 05:00 40 12 23 266 (W) 393 clear none 06:00 39 14 18 266 (W) 442 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
